PCA Critical Stage Inspections
Under NSW building legislation, specific mandatory inspections must be carried out by your appointed Principal Certifying Authority (PCA) during construction. Work cannot proceed to subsequent stages until mandatory inspections have been carried out and approved.
Standard Mandatory Inspection Stages:
Footing / Pier excavation prior to pouring concrete
Slab steel reinforcement prior to pouring concrete
Framework prior to wall cladding or lining
Waterproofing of wet areas prior to tiling
Stormwater connection inspection
Final inspection upon building completion prior to OC
