What is Complying Development?
Complying Development is a fast-track approval pathway for straightforward residential developments in NSW. If your project meets specific predetermined development standards in the State Environmental Planning Policy (Exempt and Complying Development Codes) 2008, you do not require a separate Council Development Application (DA).
A Complying Development Certificate (CDC) combines both planning approval and building certification into a single assessment issued by an accredited certifier.
